Overview
Eat What? helps you discover restaurants near a location you choose. This policy explains what information is used by the app and the choices available to you.
Information the app uses
With your permission, the app uses your device location to find nearby restaurants and position the map. Search locations, cuisine, food type, budget, distance, dietary preferences and other filters are used to produce your results. Eat What? does not require an account in this version.
Information stored on your device
Your theme, default search radius, accessibility preference, language, font size, sound and vibration choices, saved restaurant identifiers and random-pick history are stored locally on your device. You can remove saved restaurants in the app, change permissions in device settings, or clear all locally stored data by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app.
Restaurant, map and location providers
To return results, map tiles and place suggestions, the app sends the chosen coordinates, search terms and filters to the configured provider, such as Geoapify, OpenStreetMap services or Google Places. Those providers process information under their own privacy policies. Precise location is used only when location permission is granted.
Advertising
The app may display ads supplied by Google AdMob. Google and its partners may process device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions and diagnostics to deliver, measure and protect ads, subject to your device choices, consent settings and Google's privacy terms.
Sharing and retention
Eat What? does not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed for maps, restaurant search, advertising and app operation. This version does not operate a proprietary account database. Third-party providers determine retention for information they receive.
Feedback and support
Feedback opens an email draft for you to review and send to bytelo.dev@gmail.com. If enabled, app version, device model and operating-system information are included; GPS coordinates, unique device identifiers and API keys are not attached automatically. You can turn this information off. Messages and attachments you send are received through our email provider and used for support and improving the app. Do not include passwords or sensitive information. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence.
Updates and external links
When configured, the app checks a release-information endpoint that may receive your IP address and technical request information. You can decline update notifications or disable them in device settings. External maps, websites and email apps process information under their own policies. Updates are not installed automatically.
Age eligibility
Eat What? is intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, contact bytelo.dev@gmail.com.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated as the app changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made. For privacy questions, contact ByteLo at bytelo.dev@gmail.com.
